KUNG  may proposal na si Superstar Nora Aunor ay gawing national artist, bakit hindi ang Star for All Season na si Vilma Santos na ngayon ay gubernador ng Batangas ay gawaran din ng nasabing prestihiyosong pagkilala?

Sinabi ni Quezon Rep. Erin Tanada na hindi nagkakalayo ang kalidad ng pagiging artista nina Aunor at Santos na parehong nanalo nang iba’t ibang award dahil sa kanilang pag-arte.
“Hindi naman mahihiwalay yan eh, nandyan si Nora, nandyan si Vilma Santos. They practically grew at the same time in front of TV and moviegoers at tingin ko both deserves such recognition,” ani Tanada.
Sinabi ni Tanada na handa siyang maghain ng resolusyon upang itulak ang pagiging national artist ni Santos.
“Pinapanood ng lahat ng ating mamayan so ako personal na naniniwala na she (Aunor) should be considered as a national artist, for that same manner Vilma Santos should be considered as one too.”
Ayon kay Tanada parehong mayroong naging kontribusyon ang dalawa sa entertainment industry ng bansa.
Nauna rito, inihain ni Bacolod Rep. Anthony Golez ang House Resolution 2317 upang himukin ang Cultural Center of the Philippines at National Commission for Culture and the Arts na irekomenda sa Malacanang na gawing national artist si Aunor.

    Vilma Santos is more deserving!Having been in the business for almost 5 decades and yet still durable and popular as ever. It is very hard to duplicate all her achivements in showbiz even Nora Aunor who has no career for almost 8 years in the USA and only returned in the country in 2011 and yet, her comeback was not as successful as people expected.

    MAS may karapatan si Vilma kumpara sa ibang napakababa ng moralidad!Besides, limang dekada na si Vilma sa showbiz at na-maintain niya ang ningning ng kanyang pagiging artista at kanyang credibility as an actress.This recognition is long overdue.

    Vilma deserves to be one of our National Artists considering her unparalled contributions in the field of acting and in showbiz as a whole. Vilma brings pride to all the Filipinos here and around the globe because of her world-class talent.

    Vilma is the longest reigning movie and box office queen and she is the most awarded actress in the Philippines.
